What we hold ourselves to on every job
Reviews are only worth reading if you know what the business promised in the first place. So here is the standard we work to, and the one we would like to be measured against.
- Identify before we treat. A WhatsApp photo is often enough. Treating the wrong pest wastes your money and our time.
- A clear quote first. Quotes are free, and you know what the job involves before anyone arrives.
- Least-toxic first. We start with the gentlest option that will do the job, and use eco-friendly, odourless treatments wherever we can.
- Fix the cause, not just the symptom. Rodent work follows a six-step regime: harbourage, food and water, ingress proofing, a bait risk assessment, a tailored plan and a report. Insect work follows four steps: find the source, map the infestation, treat it in a targeted way, then give remedial recommendations.
- Put it in writing. You get a post-treatment report so you know what was done and what to keep an eye on.
- Stand behind it. Treatments carry a minimum 3-month guarantee.
What to expect when you book
Our average turnaround is around 48 hours from booking to visit. In the busy season, when the first warm spell brings ants and cockroaches out and winter rain pushes rats into roofs, it can take a little longer. If you need us outside normal working hours, after-hours and weekend visits can be arranged on request.
On the day, the technician will start by looking, not spraying. Expect questions about where you have seen activity, when, and what you have tried. A rat problem in a Southern Suburbs roof often starts at a gap under the eaves or a branch touching the gutter, and no amount of bait fixes that on its own.
Before leaving, we explain what we did and anything you need to do: keep pets out of a room for a while, leave gel bait spots alone, close up a gap under a door. The written report covers the same ground so you don't have to remember it all.
How the minimum 3-month guarantee works
What it covers
It applies to the pest we treated, at the property we treated, for at least three months. Ask when you get your quote what period applies to your treatment.
How to make it count
Follow the remedial recommendations in your report. They are not filler. If the report says a drain cover is missing or a roof vent needs mesh, that gap will let new pests in from next door, whatever was used inside. We would much rather you fix it in week one than find out in month two.
How to call us back
Phone or WhatsApp us, tell us the date of the original treatment and send a photo of what you are seeing. That lets us check whether it is the same pest or something new, and book the return visit quickly.
How to leave a review that helps other Cape Town customers
We will start adding customer reviews here as they come in. The most useful ones are specific. If you are writing one, these details make it far more helpful to the next person reading:
- Your suburb. Someone in Kuils River with mice in the kitchen wants to hear from a neighbour, not a general "great service".
- The pest and the type of property. German cockroaches in a flat, rats in a double-storey roof, wood borer before a transfer.
- How quickly it was sorted. From first message to visit, and how long until you stopped seeing activity.
- What the visit was like. Was the treatment explained? Did the report make sense?
- Anything we could have done better. Honest reviews are more useful than polished ones, and we would rather know.
Please leave out anyone else's personal details, and tell us how you would like your name to appear.
If something isn't right
Tell us before you tell the internet. That isn't about hiding anything. We can only fix what we know about, and most problems are sorted with one call.
If the pest is back within your guarantee period, use the guarantee. If it is something else, such as a missed appointment, a question about your quote or a technician who didn't explain things well, use the complaints line on our contact page. Give us your address, the date of the visit and what went wrong, and we will look into it properly.
If you are still researching, our pages on rodent control, insect control and eco-friendly pest control explain how we work in more detail.
